The boundary between Good Decades health education and care from a qualified healthcare professional.
Updated August 16, 2026
Good Decades publishes health education and provides wellness tracking and planning tools. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. Using the website or app does not create a clinician-patient relationship with Good Decades, an author, or a reviewer.
Emergencies and urgent symptoms
If you believe you may have a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately. Do not use a Good Decades article, Check-In, app alert, email, or support response as a substitute for urgent care.
Articles may identify warning signs that deserve professional attention, but no list can cover every situation. Seek care when symptoms are severe, worsening, unusual for you, or concerning—even if they are not listed.
Tools and app results
Check-Ins, calculators, scores, trends, reminders, plans, and exercise substitutions are educational or organizational aids. They may use incomplete information, estimates, population-level formulas, or data entered by you or a consumer device. They are not clinical assessments and should not be used to rule out a condition or decide that care is unnecessary.
Consumer wearables and home devices can be useful for trends but can also be wrong. Confirm concerning readings with an appropriate professional or validated medical equipment.
Exercise and nutrition
Exercise carries risk, including falls, injury, cardiovascular events, and worsening of an existing condition. Start within your present ability, use a safe environment, and stop if you experience chest pain, faintness, severe shortness of breath, sudden weakness, or another alarming symptom. A checkbox about medical clearance records what you tell us; Good Decades does not verify clearance or provide it.
Nutrition needs vary with health conditions, pregnancy, kidney or liver function, allergies, eating-disorder history, and medication use. General targets from a calculator are not prescriptions.
Supplements and products
Supplements can cause side effects, contain allergens, interact with medicines, affect laboratory tests, or be inappropriate for some conditions. Product formulas and labels can change. Check the current label and ask a pharmacist or qualified clinician when interactions, pregnancy, surgery, chronic illness, or another risk applies.
A product recommendation means the item performed well against the criteria stated in that guide. It is not a statement that the product is safe or effective for you personally and is not an endorsement by a medical reviewer unless the page says so explicitly.
Editorial and medical review
Medical review reduces avoidable errors but does not turn general information into personal care. Evidence changes, reasonable professionals can disagree, and information may become outdated between scheduled reviews. Check the published and reviewed dates and discuss personal decisions with a qualified professional who knows your history.
